MARANA, Ariz. -- Enthronement will have to wait. Hunter Mahan, who is down the scale of fame, Sunday kept Rory McIlroy from winning both the Accenture WGC Match Play Championship and climbing to the No. 1 world ranking.
Was there motivation because the fans early on were chanting for McIlroy, the Northern Irishman, instead of Mahan, an American?

Rory is number one because he is the best just look at his points. Mahan played like the pro we all know he can be and he was impressive. The compettion is tough as there are a lot of good players that are known and not known, witl Hunter continue his upward swing, not as of yet, the field seems to be very wide and a wide selection of golfers are taking aim. Going to be a great year, will Tiger achilles heel, get better or hinder him though out the year. Luke where are you, come back, he had a good round two at Transitions I believe...thats my take...
